The experience
The Hemp Museum
Inside the Hemp Museum, you can discover themes of the cultivation and exploitation of hemp in both the domestic and productive spheres; tools for processing and weaving are displayed there, as well as the rich collection of textile artifacts from the area, donated by families.
The workshop you can follow inside will be a journey for discovering the value of an abandoned and recovered plant, important to our lands and traditions and valuable especially to our artisans.
The Visit and the Workshop
During a visit to the museum you are always accompanied by a guide who not only provides information but also helps you interact directly with the tools you discover, giving you the opportunity to experience the art of weaving.
The Weaving Workshop is a space that has succeeded in recovering and keeping alive the historical memory related to hemp, weaving and textile fibers, a place where one can learn through hands-on experience.
Here it will be possible to learn about the operation of looms and carry out small activities under the supervision of experts.
It will be possible to plan and carry out workshop activities for adults and children, from dyeing to creative weaving to spinning.
We offer you to participate in a small weaving class designed to rediscover the link between the plant, local history and craft traditions.
You will handcraft a small souvenir to preserve the memory of this experience!
