If you come to Trevi in October, at our events you will learn about the historical and cultural significance of the Palio dei Terzieri, thanks to the guides who will offer stories and anecdotes related to the Palio, which will lead you to discover the Re-enactments, medieval challenges and ancient flavors.
The Palio dei Terzieri di Trevi is a race between the Terzieri del Castello, Matiggia and Piano that commemorates the Rebirth of the City after the 1214 destruction caused by the Spoleto people at the behest of Duke Theopoldo.
In the Procession that takes place on the eve of the Palio, a procession of more than 500 figures in medieval costume (1200/1350 era) parades through the city streets lit by flashlights and adorned with flags, banners and banners.
You will be able to witness the preparatory activities involving the local community and perhaps find out which tertiary community your family of origin was connected to!
You will discover a village bustling with colorful markets, concerts, exhibitions probably different from what your grandparents described to you!
