What is Opera dei Vetrai?
The Opera dei Vetrai is an impromptu exhibition of glass craftsmanship by Italian and foreign master glassmakers that is repeated every year during the Piegaro Chestnut Festival. These days the Glass Museum comes alive with activities: live glassmaking, workshops and conferences, as well as the inevitable market exhibition of glass objects.

How to get there
By car: - From the north: Motorway A1 exit Bettole, proceed in the direction of Castiglione del Lago and then in the direction of Piegaro - From the south: Motorway A1 exit Fabro proceed in the direction of Chiusi and then in the direction of Piegaro By train: The nearest stations to Piegaro are Chiusi (SI) and Terontola - Cortona (PG) both about 10 – 15 minutes away. From the stations it is necessary to take a taxi. By plane: The nearest airport to Piegaro is Perugia's San Francesco Airport. From here you can rent a car. The time to reach the village is about an hour.
