San Biagio is the patron saint of Parrano. St. Blaise was an Armenian physician who lived between the third and fourth centuries. Parrano has been venerated since 1400 when Parrano fell under the influence of the Marescotti, an aristocratic family, related to the Pope, who gave a strong impulse to the development of the town both from an urban and social point of view. There is talk of an image of San Biagio inside the Castle now covered with plaster. The festival has a religious prevalence even if until the 50s of the last century popular and recreational games were organized.
