What is the Castiglion Fosco Tower Festival?
The Festa della Torre di Castiglion Fosco, wanted by the local Circolo Acli is an event that promotes the small village of Piegaro, its history, its traditions and offers visitors the opportunity to spend pleasant evenings among different entertainment proposals and taste the dishes packaged to enhance the typical products of the place. Ten days of celebrations during which you can climb to the top of the tower of the 1500s, beautifully preserved, and admire a breathtaking view that ranges from Panicale to Perugia and even Assisi. On the final day of Sunday there is also the traditional “Fair of ninnli”, a special market exhibition of objects for the rediscovery of ancient traditions. Also on Sunday afternoon space for the traditional dances of Umbria.

How to get there
By car: - From the north: Motorway A1 exit Bettole, proceed in the direction of Castiglione del Lago and then in the direction of Piegaro - From the south: Motorway A1 exit Fabro proceed in the direction of Chiusi and then in the direction of Piegaro By train: The nearest stations to Piegaro are Chiusi (SI) and Terontola - Cortona (PG) both about 10 – 15 minutes away. From the stations it is necessary to take a taxi. By plane: The nearest airport to Piegaro is Perugia's San Francesco Airport. From here you can rent a car. The time to reach the village is about an hour.
